This lovely coral pendant was handmade by Navajo jeweler, Emma Jean Bighand. It measures 2″ L x 1.5″ W, not including the bale which measures 1.2″ L. The pendant has a large center oval cabochon (10×14 mm) surrounded by 10 additional smaller cabs (6×8 mm each), all cut from high-quality Mediterranean red coral.
Emma Bighand was born around 1960. She has been actively making jewelry since 1984, mainly specializing in pendants and brooches. Living on the Navajo reservation, in her younger days she enjoyed riding her horse and tending her sheep.

The finish is patinized to produce a vintage effect. The pendant is stamped all around the piece as well as the bale.
The relatively large bale, which measures 5/8″ at its widest point will accommodate some beads or a chain. We are also showing it with a Navajo handmade “paper clip” chain which is available separately.
