As turquoise comes into contact with human skin and the elements over time it changes color to soft blue and green tones. The age of these earrings is indicated by the changing colors of the turquoise.
Zuni Historic Inlaid Post Earrings

We attribute these Zuni vintage inlaid turquoise post earrings to Frank Dishta (1902-1954). Trader C. G. Wallace employed him as one of his first jewelers at Zuni in the late 1920s.
Inlaid with natural turquoise the pretty flower or snowflake designs incorporate seven small round turquoise stones flanked by six teardrop shaped turquoise stones in each earring. The overall diameter of each earring is 3/4″.
