If you are familiar with Veronica Poblano’s (born 1951) work these sugilite earrings are instantly recognizable as hers. Daughter of famed Zuni jeweler and carver, Leo Poblano, Veronica has earned her own reputation and many awards for her artistry and craftsmanship.
She hand-carved high-grade sugilite in these earrings which is becoming hard to find. Color is the most important factor in grading sugilite and these are the “grape jelly” purple you are looking for.
