These striking multistone mosaic earrings with sterling silver ear wires were handmade by Mary Louise Tafoya from Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico. Today, the people there refer to themselves as “Kewa”, their original tribal name.
To make these earrings, Mary Louise hand cuts each bit of material, sands and polishes it before incorporating it into her design. Then she drills holes to accomodate the ear wires. What a lot of work and we love the result!
