Gibson Nez was such a talented artist. He mentored and influenced many Native American jewelers and won every important award for his work. He specialized in collecting and using high grade turquoise in his pieces, many of which are difficult to find today. The gem quality center turquoise stone is set high in a chiseled bezel and flanked by an octagonal mosaic of stones and shell. The ring is signed GZN on the back.
